Adding, Uploading and Deleting Items

ADDING ITEMS


To add items go to Catalogs -> Items

    

You can add items one-by-one or you can upload you full database using a spreadsheet in CSV format.


 

 

To add items one-by-one you can do it from the Quote Module, section Product and Service Information and you can add them as well from Catalogs -> Items and click on  + Add.

 

UPLOADING ITEMS

 

To upload your spreadsheet CSV formar click on +Upload and edit

And  follow these steps:

 

1.    Download the sample file 



2.    Complete the file respecting the column order. You need to enter the Category, Name (unique), Unit, Price A and quantity.


 

3.    Upload the file using the same CSV format that you downloaded. Click on upload. If an error was to be found, Osmos will identify the item line that was not uploaded and mark the field with the error in red.

 


UPDATING ITEMS

 

To update your current list of items download it, then open the file and update the information. When done upload it. You can modify all the information available on the file. If you wish to delete items you need to do it directly from the system.    


NOTE: You can edit your items directly from Osmos from the table that is available when clicking the +Upload and edit button.   


DELETE ITEMS


- To delete items go to +Upload and edit, then mark from the list the items to be deleted and click on "Delete" 



 

NOTE: If you want to find out what items are missing images, the easiest way to found out is by using your eQuote page. 


FILED DESCRIPTION 


 

Here is a quick description of the fields:

 

1.     CATEGORY: Name of the category that group the item.  

2.     CURRENCY: The currency of the item.

3.     UNIT (*Required): The unit of measure for the item

4.     NAME (*Required): Item name that must be unique.

5.     SERVICE OR ITEM:  Mark with a “Y” if your item is a product or a “N” if it is a service. By default, when this option is not marked it will be marked as “Y”. 

6.     DISCOUNT: The discount that can be assigned to this item. Use only numbers.  

7.     PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: Introduce a brief description for your product or service. 

8.     PRODUCT CODE: You can enter numbers and letters as a code.

9.     PRICE (*Required): The price at which you are going to offer your product or service. Enter only numbers and a point to show cents. Ex: 100.99 DO NOT USE SIGNS "$" or commas "," or letters.

10. PRICE B, C AND D: Additional prices when you use a price list.

11.  MODIFY PRICE: If you want to allow to modify the price enter a "Y" for yes, and if you don’t want to modify price enter the letter "N" for no. If no option is entered by default it will be marked as a “N”.

12.  MINIMUM PRICE: The lowest price that users will be allowed to enter if modify price is enabled. Enter only numbers and a point to show cents. Ex: 100.99 DO NOT USE SIGNS "$" or commas "," or letters. By default, the minimum price is the Price.

13.  COST: It is the fix cost of your product or service. The fix cost will be calculated on the reports. If you have no fix cost mark it as “0”. Enter only numbers and a point to show cents. Ex: 100.99 DO NOT USE SIGNS "$" or commas "," or letters.

14.  COMMISSION: It is an AMOUNT $ and NOT A PERCENTAGE% that is given to the seller. The AMOUNT is multiplied by the units sold of the product or service. If your unit of measurement is Boxes, the quantity is 4 and commission is $1, then the commission is multiplied by the amount 4. Commission percentage per seller are modified in the users section.     Example: If the seller has 50% commission and the total commission for a quote is $ 500, then the seller would earn $ 250; 50% of the $ 500.

15.  QUANTITY(*Required): The amount of product you currently have in inventory. If they are services you can put the maximum capacity that you can cover or enter greater amount.

Example: Suppose you rent machines; these would be services. You would have to add the number of machines as you have available to rent.

 

16.  REORDER CONTROL: By assigning a reorder control, Osmos will notify you when the product falls under this control.

17.  SUPPLIER The supplier is the company that provide you the products or services.

18.  WEBSITE AND YOUTUBE URL: This option will allow you to share a link to your website or a YouTube video
